AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4208

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4208 as follows:

on page 5, by deleting lines 2 through 20; and

on page 5, by replacing line 21 with the following:

"(a) The State Board of Education, subject to appropriation or any other available funds,"; and

on page 6, line 17, by replacing "(b)" with "(a)"; and

on page 6, line 24, by replacing "(c)" with "(b)"; and

on page 7, line 1, by replacing "considered" with "prioritized"; and

on page 7, be replacing lines 5 through 9 with the following:

"students; and (ii) the degree to which the proposal articulates a strong, comprehensive approach for reducing school-based arrests and the reliance on law enforcement"; and

on page 7, by replacing lines 14 through 17 with the following:

"rates receiving priority. For criterion (ii),"; and

on page 7, by replacing lines 23 through 26 with the following:

"of the applicant school districts. If the appropriated funds are insufficient to"; and

on page 8, line 9, by replacing "(d)" with "(c)"; and

on page 8, by replacing line 15 with the following:
