| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Edna Mary | 4 | | Lambert, who passed away on January 26, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edna Lambert was born in
Chicago to Paul and Edna
| 6 | | Lambert on August 23, 1931; she was baptized at First Church of
| 7 | | Deliverance; she graduated from DuSable High School
and | 8 | | attended Cortez Peters Technical College; she married Calvin | 9 | | Tillery Sr. on
August 23, 1950; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Edna Lambert worked at R. R. Donnelly for 15 | 11 | | years, and for 15 years as an
office manager for Dr. Rudolph | 12 | | Moragne; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Edna Lambert adopted six girls known as the "Cobb | 14 | | Sisters", Frank, Bill, Joe, Jeannie, Eleanor, and Cecile; she | 15 | | was considered the seventh "sister"; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Edna Lambert was preceded in death by her parents; | 17 | | her stepfather, William Dickson; her
brothers, Paul and | 18 | | Phillip; and her adopted "sisters", Frank, Bill, Joe, and | 19 | | Eleanor; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Edna Lambert is survived by her children, Theresa |

| 1 | | (Robert) Falconer, Calvin (Cora) Tillery, and Curtis Tillery; | 2 | | her brother, Robert Lambert; her grandchildren, Robert | 3 | | Falconer Jr., Chimille
(Kevin) Dillard, and Brandyn Falconer; | 4 | | her great-granddaughters, Kamille and Kennedy Perkins; her | 5 | | sister, Jeannie Lane; her daughter-in-law, Debby Douglas;
many | 6 | | nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her adopted | 7 | | "sister", Jeannie; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 9 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 10 | | mourn the passing of Edna Mary Lambert, and extend our sincere | 11 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 12 | | her; and be it further
