HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Edna Mary
4Lambert, who passed away on January 26, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edna Lambert was born in Chicago to Paul and Edna
6Lambert on August 23, 1931; she was baptized at First Church of
7Deliverance; she graduated from DuSable High School and
8attended Cortez Peters Technical College; she married Calvin
9Tillery Sr. on August 23, 1950; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Edna Lambert worked at R. R. Donnelly for 15
11years, and for 15 years as an office manager for Dr. Rudolph
12Moragne; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Edna Lambert adopted six girls known as the "Cobb
14Sisters", Frank, Bill, Joe, Jeannie, Eleanor, and Cecile; she
15was considered the seventh "sister"; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Edna Lambert was preceded in death by her parents;
17her stepfather, William Dickson; her brothers, Paul and
18Phillip; and her adopted "sisters", Frank, Bill, Joe, and
19Eleanor; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Edna Lambert is survived by her children, Theresa

1(Robert) Falconer, Calvin (Cora) Tillery, and Curtis Tillery;
2her brother, Robert Lambert; her grandchildren, Robert
3Falconer Jr., Chimille (Kevin) Dillard, and Brandyn Falconer;
4her great-granddaughters, Kamille and Kennedy Perkins; her
5sister, Jeannie Lane; her daughter-in-law, Debby Douglas; many
6nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her adopted
7"sister", Jeannie; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
9HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
10mourn the passing of Edna Mary Lambert, and extend our sincere
11condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
12her; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Edna Lambert as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
