| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives wish to recognize Diane Main on her dedication | 4 | | and support for the Village of Westmont; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main has resided in Westmont for 45 years | 6 | | and has served Westmont through extensive
community | 7 | | involvement for four decades; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main and her husband, Bob, raised their | 9 | | three children in Westmont and been active in the
lives of | 10 | | their seven grandchildren; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main has served on the Westmont Park Board | 12 | | for almost 40 years; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, The Westmont Park District has experienced | 14 | | tremendous growth during Diane Main's tenure, growing from 32 | 15 | | acres in 1978 to 137 acres today; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main played a key role in the development of | 17 | | Ty Warner Park, the Twin Lake Golf Course,
Twin Lakes Woods, | 18 | | the Westmont Skatepark, Ty Warner Splash Park, the Westmont | 19 | | Senior Center, and 15 parks
throughout Westmont; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main has served as a volunteer in the | 2 | | community in numerous capacities such as Girl
Scout Leader, | 3 | | Eucharistic Minister for her Church delivering communion to | 4 | | homebound parishioners on weekends, a
coordinator for church | 5 | | retreats, and more; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main has served as Park Board Treasurer, | 7 | | volunteering her time and talent to lobby for grants
for which | 8 | | the Park District has received over $3 million in grants from | 9 | | the State; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main has served as the Westmont Park | 11 | | District President since 2014; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Diane Main served as President of the Illinois | 13 | | Association of Park
Districts; therefore, be it
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 15 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 16 | | recognize Diane Main on her dedication and support for the | 17 | | Village of Westmont and thank her for her commitment to her | 18 | | community; and be it further
| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 20 | | presented to Diane Main as an expression of our esteem and | 21 | | respect.
