| 2 | | WHEREAS, Haley Linder, Class of 2014, Hampshire High | 3 | | School, is a senior studying animal sciences at the University | 4 | | of Missouri-Columbia; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Haley Linder was recently awarded an Outstanding | 6 | | Senior in Animal Sciences award from the Division of Animal | 7 | | Sciences in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural | 8 | | Resources at the University of Missouri; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, In addition to this prestigious award, Haley | 10 | | Linder is also a University of Missouri College of Veterinary | 11 | | Medicine Pre-Veterinary Medicine Scholar; this program | 12 | | provides early assurance of admission to the MU College of | 13 | | Veterinary Medicine to selected students pursuing | 14 | | undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia | 15 | | campus; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Haley Linder was on the College of Arts and | 17 | | Science's Dean's List the spring semester of her freshman year, | 18 | | the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources' Dean's | 19 | | List the fall and spring semesters of her sophomore and junior | 20 | | years and the fall semester of her senior year; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Haley Linder has won other significant awards, |

| 1 | | including the Mark Twain Non-resident Scholarship, which is | 2 | | awarded to non-residents with a score of 30 or higher on the | 3 | | ACT and a ranking in the top 25 percent of their high school | 4 | | graduation class; she was a runner up in the 2018 Miss Ozark | 5 | | Rodeo Association Pageant and a winner in the categories of | 6 | | speech, interview, personality, and photogenic; she won the MU | 7 | | Award for Academic Distinction in 2018, which recognized her | 8 | | for her intellectual curiosity, her significant contributions | 9 | | to the academic atmosphere, and her ability to seek knowledge | 10 | | outside of the classroom; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Haley Linder has volunteered with Freedom Wind | 12 | | Farm, where she helped with the care of rehabilitated and | 13 | | retired horses, the Kendall Road Equine Hospital, where she | 14 | | cared for inpatient and outpatient horses, the D and D Farm | 15 | | Animal Sanctuary, where she worked with exotic animals, Cedar | 16 | | Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, where she worked with horses, | 17 | | and the Raptor Rehabilitation Program, where she fed and cared | 18 | | for resident birds; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Haley Linder's extracurricular activities include | 20 | | membership in the University of Missouri Pre-Vet Club, the | 21 | | Kappa Delta Sorority, the University of Missouri Dairy Club, | 22 | | Alpha Chi Sigma, and the University of Missouri Dairy Challenge | 23 | | Team; she participates in Lucy Lab Undergraduate Research, the | 24 | | US Dairy Education and Training Consortium, and the Academic |
