| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Heloise | 4 | | Aldridge, who passed away on April 12, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge was born in Webb, Mississippi to | 6 | | T.J. Kelly and Marie Smith on April 1, 1940; she attended grade | 7 | | school in Greenville, Mississippi until her family relocated to | 8 | | Summit-Argo, Illinois in 1950; she continued her grade school | 9 | | education in School District 104, where she attended Argo | 10 | | Community High School; she married her high school sweetheart, | 11 | | Vern Leon Aldridge Sr. on December 16, 1965; as a military | 12 | | couple, they traveled and lived at various Army facilities | 13 | | around the world, including Frankfurt, Germany; after her | 14 | | husband's retirement, they established their home in Maywood | 15 | | and raised their children; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge worked as an Administrative | 17 | | Assistant to the Principal at Roosevelt Middle School in | 18 | | District 88 until her retirement in June of 2002; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge loved her grandchildren, and | 20 | | each one held a special place in her heart; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge was preceded in death by her |

| 1 | | husband, Vern Sr.; and her children, Vern Jr. and Dawn; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge is survived by her son, Brandon | 3 | | (Vicki); her grandchildren, Nathan, Kaylon, Khayla, and Chanz; | 4 | | her niece, Stephanie Aldridge; her aunt, Odell Green; her | 5 | | cousins, Bennie Wilkins and Gladys Mallory; her "special | 6 | | sisters," Kay Brown, Barbara Eves, and Laverne Smith; her | 7 | | caregivers, Pamela Pittman and Kereas Deselle; and her many | 8 | | cousins, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 10 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 11 | | mourn the passing of Heloise Aldridge and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | her; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Heloise Aldridge as an expression of | 16 | | our deepest sympathy.
