| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Glen David Gray of Wood River, who passed | 4 | | away on December 31, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Glen Gray was born in Alton to Jacob Ansell and | 6 | | Helen (Ferrell) Gray on November 21, 1946; he married Janice L. | 7 | | Boswell at Bethel Free Will Baptist church in South Roxana on | 8 | | October 16, 1965; he served in the United States Army as an | 9 | | Engineer-Atomic Demolitions Expert during the Vietnam War; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Following his service, Glen Gray worked at the | 11 | | McDonnell Douglas Corp. in St. Louis, Missouri; he attended | 12 | | Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1970 for his | 13 | | associate's degree in Mortuary Science and co-founded the Gray | 14 | | Funeral Home in Wood River with his family in 1978, of which he | 15 | | was a part for 38 years; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Glen Gray was preceded in death by his parents; | 17 | | his daughter, Clark Ann Gingerich; his brother, Laren A. Gray; | 18 | | and his brothers-in-law, David Smith, and Royall and Rodney | 19 | | Hannis; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Glen Gray is survived by a son and | 21 | | daughter-in-law, Stephen Ansell, and Denise Michele |
