| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Alice May Crawford of McHenry, who passed | 4 | | away on March 3, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Alice Crawford was born in Alden to Clare and Ruth | 6 | | Greene Gates on August 21, 1924; she married Wallace J. | 7 | | Crawford in Genoa City, Wisconsin on May 6, 1945; they lived in | 8 | | Genoa City before moving to Hebron in 1962 and then to Arkansas | 9 | | in 1993; she recently moved to Fox Point in McHenry; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Alice Crawford worked as a court clerk at the | 11 | | McHenry County Courthouse for 22 years; she was a former member | 12 | | of the Hebron United Methodist Church and the Heber Springs | 13 | | United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas; she | 14 | | volunteered for the Heber Springs United Methodist | 15 | | Church-Cleburn County Cares; she was also a member of the | 16 | | Friends of the Library in Heber Springs and a past Worthy | 17 | | Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Alice Crawford was preceded in death by a son, | 19 | | Wallace "Keith" Crawford, and her brother, Glenn Gates; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, Alice Crawford is survived by three daughters, | 21 | | Terry Crawford, Kay (Loren) Vant, and Dawn Crawford; two |
