| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Betty J. Kerpan, who passed away on | 4 | | January 13, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan was born in Almeria, Nebraska on May | 6 | | 24, 1923; she was a longtime resident of Waukegan, where she | 7 | | married Jack Kerpan; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan had many hobbies including quilting, | 9 | | baking, cooking, gardening, and reading; she truly enjoyed | 10 | | keeping healthy with her early morning exercise routine; she | 11 | | had a very strong faith and dearly loved her church and church | 12 | | friends; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan was preceded in death by her husband, | 14 | | Jack, and her son, Larry Kerpan; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan is survived by her children, Sharon | 16 | | (David) Van Dis, Gary Kerpan, David Kerpan, Debbie (Raymond | 17 | | Rodgers) Guilfoil, and Kevin (Barbara) Kerpan; her stepson, | 18 | | Jack Jr. (Mipian) Kerpan; 11 grandchildren; and 16 | 19 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it | 20 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
