SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Emil R. Schinckel, who passed away on
4March 21, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel was born in Grinnell, Iowa, to
6George and Alice (Van Branteghen) Schinckel on September 14,
71927; he served in the United States Army during World War II
8and married Dorothy Ruby in East Moline on August 13, 1949; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel retired from Quality Control at
10John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel enjoyed fishing, playing cards,
12working in the yard, and most of all, his grandchildren; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel was preceded in death by his son,
14Robert Michael Schinckel; and seven brothers and sisters; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel is survived by his wife, Dorothy;
16his sister, Joan Sellers; his daughters, Sandra (Gary)
17Armstrong, Linda (Demos) Mekus, Deborah (George)
18Apostolopoulos, Pamela (Russell) Frohock, and Candace (Kent)
19Donis; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and
20three great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Emil R. Schinckel, and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Emil Schinckel as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
