SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph W. Schultz of Moline, who passed
4away on March 20, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Schultz was born in Joliet to Joseph A. and
6Marcella A. Persak Schultz on June 17, 1943; he was drafted in
71965 and proudly served in the United States Army 101st
8Airborne Division in Vietnam; he married Deborah F. Delaney in
9Wilmington on December 2, 1967; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joseph Schultz began his career in 1963 working
11for the Army Ammunition Plant in Joliet; he became the Director
12of Information Technology Services for the Department of
13Defense at the Rock Island Arsenal, where he worked for 41
14dedicated years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Joseph Schultz enjoyed golf, bike riding, and
16hiking; more than anything, he loved to spend time with his
17family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Joseph Schultz was preceded in death by his
19parents; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Joseph Schultz is survived by his wife, Deborah

1Schultz; his sons, Michael (Monica) Schultz, and Steven
2(Sherri) Schultz; his grandson, Tristan Schultz; his
3granddaughter, Delaney Schultz; and his sister, Jackie (Jerry)
4Conlee; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Joseph W. Schultz, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Joseph Schultz as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
