SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harold E. Valberg of Rock Island, who passed away on May 23, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Harold Valberg was born in Watertown, South Dakota to Peder and Vesta Dally Valberg on May 9, 1933; he served in the United States Army and married Marlys Krayenbrink in Henry, South Dakota on August 22, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Harold Valberg worked as a furnace installer for Bullock Heating and Cooling; and

WHEREAS, Harold Valberg enjoyed playing on the computer, watching baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs, and spending time and conversing with his good friend, Raymond Robbins; and

WHEREAS, Harold Valberg was preceded in death by his wife, Marlys, and his sister, Doris Sollin; and

WHEREAS, Harold Valberg is survived by his children, Tamie (Donnie) Noack, Laurie (Phil) Fowler, Kevin (Susie) Valberg, and Russell Valberg; his grandchildren, Kelly (Kelly) Noack, Jennifer (Chad) Veryzer, Nick Valberg, Nicki Odekirk, Ben Valberg, Tanner (Olivia) Valberg, Jacob Fowler, Lucas Fowler, and Casey Fowler; 15 great-grandchildren; his brother, Hubert Valberg; his sister, Deloris Sprinter; and his dog, Mia; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Harold E. Valberg, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harold Valberg as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
