| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Lyle H. Beresford of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on June 25, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lyle Beresford was born in Vinton, Iowa to John | 6 | | and Ethel Harper Beresford on June 9, 1920; he graduated from | 7 | | Davenport Central High School in 1939 and served in the United | 8 | | States Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946; he married | 9 | | Maurine Hambleton in Moline on April 11, 1944; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Lyle Beresford retired from Roycouff Floor | 11 | | Covering in 1984, after 38 years of service; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Lyle Beresford was a charter member of Elim | 13 | | Covenant Church; he served as church chairman and Hi-League | 14 | | counselor; he taught Sunday school, led the Keenagers, and sang | 15 | | many beautiful solos; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Lyle Beresford was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents; his wife, Maurine; his granddaughter, Christy Jacks; | 18 | | his sisters, Jean Ball and Jeanette Frerichs; and his brother, | 19 | | John Beresford; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Lyle Beresford is survived by his daughters, Carol |
