| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Patricia Lynn Butler Meyers of Crystal | 4 | | Lake, who passed away on June 25, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Meyers was born in Wheaton to James | 6 | | Edward and Mildred Helen (Schussler) Butler on June 28, 1952; | 7 | | she graduated from St. Charles High School in 1970 and from | 8 | | Elmhurst College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing; | 9 | | she also attended Monmouth College; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Meyers was employed by Baxter Travenol | 11 | | Laboratories in Deerfield as a marketing research analyst for | 12 | | 10 years before retiring to raise her family; she joined High | 13 | | School District 155 in Crystal Lake in 2001 and finished her | 14 | | career at Crystal Lake Central High School as an administrative | 15 | | assistant in student services; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Meyers's favorite color was pink; her | 17 | | favorite holiday was Christmas and her favorite band was | 18 | | Chicago; she loved animals, but especially her cats, Tigger, | 19 | | Eva, and Wall-E, who adored her more than any cat has loved a | 20 | | human; she loved to knit, collect Vera Bradley purses, and eat | 21 | | the flavor of the day at Julie Ann's; she never missed a chance | 22 | | to cheer her daughters on at various performances from |

| 3 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Meyers was preceded in death by her | 4 | | father and her uncle, Len (Mary) Butler; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Meyers is survived by her husband, Tom | 6 | | Meyers; her daughters, Annie Meyers and Katie Meyers; her | 7 | | mother; her siblings, Michael (Patricia) Butler, Cindi Butler, | 8 | | Tim (LaVerne) Butler, Shari (Hans) Kuhn, and Dan (Steph) | 9 | | Butler; her uncle, Bill (Sue) Butler; five cousins; and | 10 | | numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Patricia Lynn Butler Meyers, and extend our sincere condolences | 14 | | to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be | 15 | | it further
