2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Carol Jean (Dorr) Wildey of Crystal Lake, |
4 | | who passed away September 6, 2017; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Carol Wildey was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to |
6 | | Walter and Louise (Engdahl) Dorr on November 27, 1943; she |
7 | | graduated from the Abbott Hospital School of Nursing in |
8 | | Minneapolis, where she also began her career; she them moved to |
9 | | Virginia Beach to work at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, |
10 | | Virginia; it was there that she met Richard Wildey, and they |
11 | | were married on November 4, 1967; they settled in Crystal Lake |
12 | | where they raised their two daughters; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Carol Wildey worked at Sherman Hospital in Elgin; |
14 | | in 1978, she helped to open Good Shepherd Hospital in |
15 | | Barrington, where her main concentration was pediatrics; she |
16 | | received her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Francis |
17 | | in May of 1995; she retired from Good Shepherd Hospital as the |
18 | | Pediatric Clinical Educator; after her retirement, she cared |
19 | | for patients in the Barrington area who needed long-term |
20 | | infusion therapy; and

21 | | WHEREAS, Carol Wildey was involved in many activities, |
22 | | including tennis, golf, gardening, and officiating competitive |
