SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Larry Lee Kirby of Milan, who passed away
4on September 9, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Kirby was born in Roseville to Marshall and
6Juanita Kirby on June 19, 1934; he graduated from Rock Island
7High School and served in the United States Army from 1957 to
81959; following active duty, he served four years in the Army
9Reserve; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Larry Kirby retired in 1985 from the John Deere
11Parts Distribution Center after 30 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Larry Kirby was involved in Sprint Car racing for
1365 years; he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bulls, White
14Sox, and Bears; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Larry Kirby was preceded in death by his parents;
16his brother; and his son; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Larry Kirby is survived by his wife, Sarah; his
18daughter, Vickie Siefker; his stepsons, Lane and Trevor Collie;
19four grandchildren; one great-grandson; three nieces; one
20nephew; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Kirby; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Larry Lee Kirby, and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Larry Kirby as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
