| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Pastor Gary Dewayne Armstrong of Rock | 4 | | Island, who passed away on September 11, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Armstrong was born in Galesburg to Leonard | 6 | | R. and Lorene Hickle Armstrong on May 17, 1952; he married | 7 | | Sandra Schinckel in East Moline on October 7, 1989; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Armstrong was employed as a security guard | 9 | | for PerMar Security Services; he then worked as a salesman in | 10 | | the paint department at Walmart in Moline for 11 years, | 11 | | retiring in 2007; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Armstrong served as a pastor at the | 13 | | Fellowship Temple Revival Center in Silvis; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Armstrong is survived by his wife, Sandra; | 15 | | his children, Dale (Alma) Nipper, Candy (James) Wadkins, Scott | 16 | | Nipper, Gary Armstrong Jr., and Elizabeth (Mathew) Bowers; his | 17 | | brother, Donald (Angie) Armstrong; his sister, Vicki (Lynn) | 18 | | Morris; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; | 19 | | therefore, be it
