| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Charles E. Stewart of East Moline who | 4 | | passed away on September 12, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Stewart was born in Kewanee to Charles C. | 6 | | and Eta Williams Stewart on February 13, 1925; after high | 7 | | school, he served in the United States Army Air Corps; he | 8 | | married Marilyn Duncan in Colorado Springs, Colorado on May 2, | 9 | | 1994; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Charles Stewart worked in sales for the Bowman | 11 | | Company for over 28 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Charles Stewart enjoyed spending time with his | 13 | | family and traveling with his fifth wheel camper; he was also | 14 | | the author of several published science fiction and adventure | 15 | | books; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Charles Stewart was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents; and his son, Kenneth Stewart; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Charles Stewart is survived by his wife, Marilyn; | 19 | | his children, Marvin (Carol) Stewart, Lori Stewart, Cheryl | 20 | | Randall, Mark VanDeWalle, and Michael (Karen) VanDeWalle; his |

| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | Charles E. Stewart, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 6 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 7 | | further
