SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard Leonard Frutiger of Coal Valley,
4who passed away on December 31, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dick Frutiger was born in Moline to Alfred and
6Autumn Standish Knight Frutiger on December 27, 1927; he served
7in the United States Marine Corps during World War II; he
8married Mary Louise Rakestraw in Kewanee on September 10, 1949;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dick Frutiger was a Master Barber and worked for
11the Moline and Rock Island Police Departments; he retired from
12the Rock Island Arsenal in 1991, where he was a security
13officer; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dick Frutiger was a Master of Karate; he belonged
15to St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dick Frutiger was preceded in death by his wife,
17Mary; and his son, Bruce Paine; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dick Frutiger is survived by his children, Richard
19Frutiger (Laurie), Vicki Bellson, and Michael "Tony" Frutiger
20(Lynnette); his daughter-in-law, Janin Paine; his 14

1grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; and his brother,
2Floyd Frutiger (Betty); therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Richard Leonard Frutiger and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Dick Frutiger as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
