SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Darrel Wayne Stark of Moline, who passed
4away on January 8, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Darrel Stark was born in Wynne, Arkansas to Ottie
6Stark and Alda Evelyn Clampit on October 20, 1948; he graduated
7from Moline High School in 1966; he then joined the United
8States Army; he served honorably as a nuclear weapons
9specialist for three years; he married Carol Jean Holton on
10July 21, 1979; he graduated from Hamilton Technical College
11with a degree in electric engineering technology in 1986; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Darrel Stark worked for McLaughlin Body Company
13and International Harvester Company for several years; he then
14worked for Cobhan Life Support for 25 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Darrel Stark was an avid fisherman who spent many
16summers in Bagley, Wisconsin with his family; he was a Master
17Gardener whose tomatoes were well known; he enjoyed camping and
18spending many winters in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; he recently
19checked items off of his bucket list when he traveled to
20Alaska, Australia, and New Zealand; another adventure included
21an overnight ride aboard the USS Bremerton (SSN 698) out of
22Pearl Harbor, Hawaii with his son; and

1    WHEREAS, Darrel Stark was preceded in death by his
2daughter, Jenell Sue Stark; his parents; his sisters, Rowena
3Catlett and Margaret Parish; and his brothers, Doyle and Carlos
4Stark; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Darrel Stark is survived by his wife, Carol; his
6children, Michell (Jeff) Farmer, Matt (Staci) Circello, Darcey
7(Todd) Reczkiewicz, and Shannon (Jacob) Carroll; his
8grandchildren, Arianna (Matt) Clevenger, Charlie, Baylie, and
9Brodie Farmer, Morgan and Kelsey Reczkiewicz, and Alexis and
10Madison Carroll; his great-grandchild, Emmalyn Day-Kenney; his
11sisters, Ann (Darrell) Pettis, Pat (Ralph) Jefford, and Phillis
12(Bill) Edwards; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be
13it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Darrel Wayne Stark and extend our sincere condolences to his
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Darrel Stark as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
