SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles E. "Chuck" Pierce of Moline, who
4passed away on January 15, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce was born in New Bedford to Edward and
6Earlene Hardesty Pierce on February 10, 1937; he was a veteran
7of the United States Navy; he married Mary Ann Cottinaec in
8Moline on January 8, 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce worked for the Moline/Coal Valley
10School District for 22 years; he retired in 2008; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce was a member of the American Legion
12Post 246, Moline; he enjoyed camping and was a Boy Scout leader
13for 40 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce was preceded in death by a daughter,
15Debbie; a son, Rick; and a grandson, Justin; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce is survived by his wife, Mary Ann;
17his children, Russ (Michelle) Pierce and Randy Pierce (Trudie
18Goers, M.D.); his grandchildren, Debrah Ann, Micheol,
19Jonathan, and Emma; and his half-brother, Edwin Ellstrom;
20therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Charles E. "Chuck" Pierce and extend our sincere condolences to
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Chuck Pierce as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
