SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Roy James Weis Jr. of Moline, who passed away on January 28, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. was born in Muscatine, Iowa to Roy James Sr. and Louella May Ratel Weis on May 31, 1945; he graduated from Moline High School in 1964 and served in the United States Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. was employed at Eagle Signal for 15 years, Montgomery Elevator for 15 years, and Bandag for three years; and

WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. enjoyed working on cars and helping his friends and family with projects; and

WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Vicki; and his brother, Ralph; and

WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. is survived by his brothers, Rodger (Randy) Weis, Robert Weis, Ronald Weis, and Richard Weis; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Roy James Weis Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Roy Weis Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
