SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Walter Howard Huff of Silvis, who passed
4away on February 3, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Huff served in Tokyo, Japan from 1951 to
61953 with the United States First Army Division during the
7Korean War; he married Lola Mae Baum Huff in Moline on May 22,
81953; he then married Della Irene Latta-Lindsey Huff in 2006;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Walter Huff retired from John Deere in 1989; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Walter Huff loved his family, church, southern
12gospel, and bluegrass music; he was an elder and member of The
13Apostolic Sanctuary of the Quad Cities in Silvis, where he had
14devoted his life since 1956; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Walter Huff was preceded in death by his first
16wife of 52 years, Lola; his brother, Willie F. Huff; his
17sisters, Essie Huff Garmon, Lois Huff Harper, and Lucy Huff
18Lindsey; and his half-brothers, Kenneth and James Froedge; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Walter Huff is survived by his wife, Della
20(Latta-Lindsey); his brother, Rollin Huff; his sister, Ollie

1(Froedge) Brown; his children, Vincent (Sheryl) Huff, Brenda
2Daniels, and Harlan (Angie) Huff; his stepchildren, Carla
3(Donald) Bailey, Duane (Rhonda) Lindsey, and Chris (Marty)
4Putnam; his grandchildren, Daniel Huff, Joseph Huff, Crystal
5Buckner, Leta Bennett, Gracie (Tony) Nielsen, Samantha Huff,
6Jessica Huff, Jamie Huff, Zachary Huff, Dylan Daniels, and
7Devin Daniels; his step-grandchildren, Megan Bailey, Miranda
8(Rob) Rubinate, Marisa (Cranston) Willis, Dustin Lindsey,
9Damon (Ken) Lindsey, Whitney (Jeff) Dee, Steven (Jerrica)
10Putnam, and Lindsey (Dustin) Ryan; 26 great-grandchildren; and
11many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Walter Howard Huff, and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Walter Huff as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
