| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Janet E. Adams, who passed away on | 4 | | February 13, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Janet Adams was born in Woodstock to John and | 6 | | Frances (Kiltz) Emery on March 12, 1940; she graduated from | 7 | | Woodstock High School in 1958; she then graduated from the | 8 | | Methodist Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota in | 9 | | 1961; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Janet Adams worked as an office nurse for Dr. | 11 | | Stahlecker from 1962 until 1964; she then worked as a nurse at | 12 | | Woodstock Memorial Hospital (now Centegra) until 2007; she also | 13 | | worked as a part-time nurse at Northern Illinois Medical Center | 14 | | (McHenry); and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Janet Adams enjoyed reading and scuba diving; she | 16 | | was a world traveler and belonged to the McHenry Garden Club; | 17 | | she was an avid seamstress and made doll clothes and wedding | 18 | | dresses; she made 300 dresses for Dress a Girl Around the | 19 | | World; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Janet Adams was preceded in death by her parents; | 21 | | her husband, William Adams; her son, Lawrence Heckathorne; her |

| 1 | | brother, Robert Emery; and her infant sister, Marilyn Kay | 2 | | Emery; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Janet Adams is survived by her children, Eugene | 4 | | (Dorothy) Heckathorne, Marilyn (John) Hill, Cindy (Kevin) | 5 | | Borman, Chris (Rusty) Hatfield, Kim Adams, Penny (Jeff) Lilly, | 6 | | and Terry (Olandis) Harris; her grandchildren, Rachael (Amy) | 7 | | Sobotka, Lewis (Samantha) Possehl, Renee (Jason) Busse, Jaron | 8 | | Hill, and Emery Hill; and her sister, Donna (Earl) Hass; | 9 | | therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Janet E. Adams and extend our sincere condolences to her | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 14 | | further
