| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Kennedie LyAnn Vote of Germantown Hills, | 4 | | who passed away on May 12,2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote was born in Wichita, Kansas to Rex | 6 | | and Jeannine (Caswell) Vote on August 28, 1998; she graduated | 7 | | from Metamora Township High School in 2017; she attended | 8 | | Illinois Central College for one year, with the hopes of | 9 | | transferring to Hillsong College for Ministry; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote was an active member of Northwoods | 11 | | Community Church, where she was an intern in Student | 12 | | Ministries; she was a member of the church's Worship Team; she | 13 | | also helped with the children's ministry, where she showed a | 14 | | passion and a love for kids; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote dedicated a great deal of her time | 16 | | to helping others with projects like rehabbing homes through | 17 | | the Mission Peoria program by the Dream Center in Peoria, to | 18 | | traveling with her church on mission trips and retreats to | 19 | | places like the Dominican Republic and Brazil; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, In her short time, Kennedie Vote touched the lives | 21 | | of many people in her community and across the world with her |

| 1 | | love and compassion; she will remain a bright spot in the lives | 2 | | of her family, friends, and those she met; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote is survived by her parents; her | 4 | | brothers, Tanner and Courtland (Bethany) Vote; her sister, | 5 | | Markie Vote; her grandparents, Roger and Sharon Vote, Caroline | 6 | | Courtland, and Frankie and Lisa Caswell; and her many aunts, | 7 | | uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Kennedie LyAnn Vote and extend our sincere condolences to her | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 12 | | further
