SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles R. Titus Sr. of Moline, who
4passed away on May 26, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. was born in Moline to D. Raymond
6and Helen Burke Titus on August 25, 1930; he served in the
7United States Army and was a Korean War veteran; he married
8Donna Mortensen on February 4, 1961; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. was self-employed and retired
10from U-Haul after 32 years; he also worked alongside his wife
11at Apple Valley Boarding Kennel, where he was often referred to
12as "Grandpa"; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. enjoyed socializing as a
14business associate and was a workaholic; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. was preceded in death by his
16parents and his brother, Ron; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. is survived by his wife, Donna;
18his children, Debbie Eastwood, Judith Titus, and Charles Titus
19Jr.; his grandchildren, Megan Eastwood, Andrew Eastwood, and
20Mike Sides; and his adopted grandchildren, Kelsey and Claire

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Charles R. Titus Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Charles Titus Sr. as an expression
9of our deepest sympathy.
