| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Kathryn Sue "Kathy" Stafford of | 4 | | Jacksonville, who passed away on May 25, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Stafford was born in Joplin, Missouri to | 6 | | Paul and Lola Baker on February 24, 1949; she graduated from | 7 | | Wichita State University in 1972; she married Ed Stafford on | 8 | | December 31, 1981; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Stafford began teaching third grade in | 10 | | Garden City, Kansas; she then joined the Grolier publishing | 11 | | company; after settling in Jacksonville with Ed, she worked as | 12 | | a substitute teacher at Jacksonville High School and the | 13 | | Illinois School for the Visually Impaired; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Stafford was a life member and past | 15 | | president of the Passavant Area Hospital Auxiliary; she was | 16 | | president of the Illinois Hospital Association's Council on | 17 | | Volunteering; she was a Master Gardener and a member of | 18 | | Household Science and History Class; she was a 50-year member | 19 | | of Chapter CY of P.E.O.; she was very proud of her family; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Stafford was preceded in death by her | 21 | | husband, Ed; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Stafford is survived by her son, Lance | 2 | | Matthew (Heather) Stafford; her granddaughters, Charlotte and | 3 | | Lillian Stafford; her mother, Lola Baker; her sister, Sharon | 4 | | (Larry) Billingsley; her stepchildren, Beverly Bea (Steven | 5 | | Kent) Pahlmann, Roxanna Rae (Rod) Hollenstine, and Edward | 6 | | Andrew (Demetria) Stafford; her in-laws, Nancy (Tom) Cooney and | 7 | | Don (Denise) Stafford; several nieces, nephews, and | 8 | | grandchildren; and one great-grandson; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Kathryn Sue "Kathy" Stafford, and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | her; and be it further
