SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Leonard F. Magier of Rock Island, who passed away on June 16, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Magier was born in Chicago to John and Stella Wisniewski Magier on August 26, 1928; he served in the U.S. Army and married Vivian Minarsich Holmquist on October 7, 1994; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Magier retired from AT&T following many years of service; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Magier enjoyed playing dice and visiting casinos; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Magier was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian; and his sister, Adeline; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Magier is survived by his stepson, Larry Holmquist; his stepgranddaughter, Melisa (Chris) Wagler; his stepgreat-grandson, Samuel Wagler; his sister-in-law, Sheila Rae Goderis; his sister, Lottie Gicuis; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Leonard F. Magier, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Leonard Magier as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
