SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert James "Bob" Peterson, formerly of 
4Moline, who passed away on July 1, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Peterson was born in Moline to Oscar E. and 
6Carrie Aff Peterson on July 2, 1924; he served in the United 
7States Army during World War II; he married Audrene Fenno in 
8Moline on May 23, 1948; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Peterson was a custodian at the Opportunity 
10Center for 15 years and retired in 1986; he previously worked 
11for Desaulniers, Moline Dispatch, and Streiter Corporation; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bob Peterson was a lifelong member of Trinity 
14Lutheran Church, where he was on the church council and served 
15as property chairman and usher; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Bob Peterson was preceded in death by his wife, 
17Audrene and his sister, Pauline Jackson; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Bob Peterson is survived by his children, Dane 
19(Judy) Peterson and Diana (Jim) Vana; his grandchildren and 
20their spouses, Douglas and Angie Peterson, Erik and Krista

1Peterson, Lindsey Vana, and Matthew Vana; and his five 
2great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Robert James "Bob" Peterson and extend our sincere condolences 
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Bob Peterson as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
