SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Elmer C. Mueller of Silvis, formerly of 
4Milan, who passed away on August 26, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Elmer Mueller was born in Taylor Ridge to Fred and 
6Clara (Attig) Mueller on August 11, 1924; he served in the 
7United States Army during World War II; he married Jean Meewes 
8in Rock Island on April 27, 1952; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Elmer Mueller worked as an Assistant Postmaster 
10for the United States Post Office; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Elmer Mueller enjoyed traveling with his wife, 
12gardening, and farming; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Elmer Mueller was preceded in death by his wife, 
14Jean; his parents; his sisters, Emma Seitz, Christina Krahl, 
15and Anna Curry; and his brothers, Daniel, Harold, Clifford, 
16Leonard, Maynard, Carl, and Alvin Mueller; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Elmer Mueller is survived by his sons, Kevin 
18(Gail) Mueller and Craig (Chris) Mueller; his grandchildren, 
19Angela Mueller and Mike (Dusty) Mueller; his sisters-in-law, 
20Edith Mueller and Gertrude Mueller; his many nieces and

1nephews; and his good friends, Jim and Diane Newton; therefore, 
2be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Elmer C. Mueller and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Elmer Mueller as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
