| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Terry T. McConnaughay of Geneva, who | 4 | | passed away on August 8, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay was born in Bluford to James | 6 | | and Mary (Bowling) McConnaughay on February 2, 1920; he served | 7 | | in the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the European | 8 | | theater and received the Bronze Medal; he married Rocadella C. | 9 | | "Rockie" Perrone in 1946; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay worked for Geneva Modern | 11 | | Kitchens for 25 years; he co-founded and was the owner and | 12 | | operator of the Duralam Company in Elburn, a manufacturer of | 13 | | countertops and cabinets; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay was an avid reader; he enjoyed | 15 | | studying American history and watching Jeopardy; he also | 16 | | enjoyed gardening and loved being outdoors and fishing at his | 17 | | cottage in northern Wisconsin; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay was preceded in death by his | 19 | | wife, Rockie; his son, James; his parents; and his siblings, | 20 | | James O., Glenn, William, Norma Lundberg, and Ronald; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay is survived by his | 2 | | daughter-in-law, Peggy (James); his sons, Dale (Catherine Ann) | 3 | | and Mark; his grandchildren, Erin McConnaughay, Rebecca | 4 | | Bratcher, Brent McConnaughay, and Bryce McConnaughay; his | 5 | | great-grandchildren, Kate Lee, Jack Lang, and Evan Bratcher; | 6 | | his brother, Paul (Lois); his sister, Isabelle Fisher; and many | 7 | | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Terry T. McConnaughay, and extend our sincere condolences to | 11 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
