| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in | 4 | | the lives of Illinois citizens; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that William "Bill" | 6 | | and Kay German will be celebrating their 70th wedding | 7 | | anniversary on January 29, 2020; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Bill German was born on January 26, 1930; Kay | 9 | | German was born on July 14, 1931; they married on January 29, | 10 | | 1950; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bill German started his career in the insurance | 12 | | industry with his father-in-law, T.E. Murphy, at the Murphy | 13 | | Agency in Princeville; he eventually became Chairman of the | 14 | | Board of Princeville State Bank; he is active in the community | 15 | | through the Princeville Civic Association and has served on the | 16 | | Peoria Zoning Board; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bill and Kay German are active members of the | 18 | | Princeville United Methodist Church; Kay is the church's | 19 | | longest sustaining member; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bill and Kay German have two daughters, Kathy |
