| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Cary | 4 | | "Bubba" McClain of Country Club Hills, who passed away on June | 5 | | 28, 2019; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Cary McClain was born to Cary McClain Sr. and | 7 | | Clara Hopkins-McClain on April 19, 1943; he was a native of | 8 | | Norwood, Louisiana, where he attended Antioch Baptist Church; | 9 | | he graduated from West High School in Jackson, Louisiana in | 10 | | 1961 and served in the U.S. Army; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Cary McClain settled in Chicago after his military | 12 | | service and worked for the Ford Motor Company; he retired in | 13 | | 2004 after 37 years of service; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Cary McClain was a member of Second Mount Vernon | 15 | | Baptist Church in Chicago; he will be remembered as a kind, | 16 | | tenderhearted, and outspoken individual, who gave to the less | 17 | | fortunate and greeted everyone with a smile; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Cary McClain was preceded in death by his parents; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Cary McClain is survived by his wife, Sandra |

| 1 | | (Lucas) McClain; his children, Cary McClain III, Kimberly | 2 | | Scott, Alicia (Shuntell) Johnson, and Devin McClain; his | 3 | | siblings, Edward (Sandra) McClain, Larry (Magdalene) McClain, | 4 | | Cora Jackson, Joyce McClain, Jane McClain, Judy McClain, Johnny | 5 | | (Gwendolyn) McClain, and Freddie McClain; seven grandchildren; | 6 | | 13 nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and great-nephews; and | 7 | | numerous cousins and friends; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 9 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 10 | | we mourn the passing of Cary "Bubba" McClain and extend our | 11 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | 12 | | and loved him; and be it further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Cary McClain as an expression of our | 15 | | deepest sympathy.
