| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Rudolph | 4 | | "Rudy" Booth of Peoria, who passed away on July 20, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rudolph Booth was born in Blue Mountain, | 6 | | Mississippi to Wilbo and Junie Bell (Rutherford) Booth on | 7 | | December 1, 1943; he settled in Peoria as a young adult; he | 8 | | married Yvonne Stenson, and they celebrated 50 years of | 9 | | marriage on November 17, 2019; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Rudolph Booth worked at Caterpillar for over 35 | 11 | | years; after retirement, he worked in the hospitality industry, | 12 | | last working at the Embassy Suites and the Visitors Bureau; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Rudolph Booth was a member of St. Paul Baptist | 14 | | Church, where he served as head usher and with the van ministry | 15 | | and men's group; he never met a stranger and had the gift of | 16 | | hospitality, always greeting folks with a huge smile and hug; | 17 | | he enjoyed Manual High School Basketball and was a member of | 18 | | various bowling leagues; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Rudolph Booth was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his twin sister, Ruchelle Booth Hill; his brother, | 21 | | James Booth; and his grandson, Derrick "DJ" Booth Jr.; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Rudolph Booth is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his | 2 | | children, David (Melissa) Booth, Derrick (Jehan) Booth, Daniel | 3 | | (Ashley) Booth, Devon (Tony) Booth, and Alicia (Richard) Posey; | 4 | | his grandchildren, Mariah, Sydney, Brandon, Chancellor, | 5 | | Jianna, Jaxon, DeLaney, and Aden; and his beloved fur buddy, | 6 | | Koby; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 8 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 9 | | we mourn the passing of Rudolph "Rudy" Booth and extend our | 10 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | 11 | | and loved him; and be it further
