AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1090

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1090 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Attorney General Act is amended by adding
5Section 10 as follows:
 
6    (15 ILCS 205/10 new)
7    Sec. 10. Complaint data collection.
8    (a) The Attorney General shall compile data concerning
9accessibility violations and post that information on the
10Internet website of the Attorney General as provided under this
11Section.
12    (b) The Attorney General shall identify the various types
13of construction-related physical access violations alleged in
14complaints, and shall tabulate the number of claims alleged for
15each type of violation in the complaints and the number of
16complaints in which the alleged violations were founded.

1    (c) Periodically, but not less than every 6 months
2beginning July 31, 2020, the Attorney General shall post on the
3Internet website of the Attorney General a list, by type, of
4the 10 most frequent types of accessibility violations alleged
5in the complaints and the number of alleged violations for each
6listed type of violation for the prior 2 quarters, as well as
7the number of complaints in which the alleged violations were
8founded.
9    (d) The Attorney General shall, on a quarterly basis,
10identify and tabulate the number of accessibility violation
11complaints received by the Office of the Attorney General and
12the number of those complaints received by the Attorney General
13in which the alleged violations were founded. The Attorney
14General shall further ascertain whether a complaint was filed
15in State or federal court, and tabulate the number of
16complaints filed in State or federal court, respectively. This
17data shall be posted on the Attorney General's Internet website
18periodically, but not less than every 6 months beginning July
1931, 2020.
20    (e) Beginning in 2020, and for each year thereafter, the
21Attorney General shall submit an annual report to the General
22Assembly on or before January 31 of the tabulated data for the
23preceding calendar year as provided under subsections (b), (c),
24and (d).
 
25    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
