| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of John Cunningham of Normal, who passed | 4 | | away on January 30, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Cunningham was born in Bloomington to Michael | 6 | | T. and Abbie Duga Cunningham on October 12, 1930; he graduated | 7 | | from Trinity High School in 1949 and served in the United | 8 | | States Air Force; he married Paula Daly at Holy Trinity Church | 9 | | in Bloomington on January 14, 1953; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, John Cunningham was a lifelong farmer and spent | 11 | | his career in agriculture; he retired from Myers Inc. in | 12 | | Towanda in 1990; he then retired from State Farm Insurance | 13 | | Company in 2003; he also served as Towanda Township Supervisor | 14 | | for 20 years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, John Cunningham was a member of St. Patrick Church | 16 | | of Merna and the Knights of Columbus; he was a volunteer at OSF | 17 | | HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center; he founded the Cornbelt | 18 | | Two-Cylinder Club for those who enjoyed restoring John Deere | 19 | | tractors; he cherished any time he was able to spend with his | 20 | | family; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, John Cunningham was preceded in death by his |

| 1 | | brothers, Thomas and Ralph Cunningham; and his sister, Rosemary | 2 | | Cunningham, in infancy; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, John Cunningham is survived by his wife of 66 | 4 | | years, Paula; his daughters, Trish Cunningham, Therese | 5 | | Cunningham, Mary (Tom) Luttrell, and Lucy (Andy) Mardis; and | 6 | | his grandchildren, John Luttrell, Maggie Luttrell, Abbie | 7 | | (Mark) Fieder, and Mary Mardis; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | John Cunningham and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
