| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Ronald P. "Ronnie" Yates of Wood River, | 4 | | who passed away on February 2, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Yates was born to Grace (Kienstra) Rider | 6 | | and James "Doc" Yates in July of 1950; he was a veteran of the | 7 | | Vietnam War; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Yates retired from Ingram Barge Lines in | 9 | | 2013, after 12 years as a Chief Engineer; he was also the owner | 10 | | and proprietor of Yates Steakhouse in downtown Wood River in | 11 | | the 1980s and 1990s; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Yates was preceded in death by his parents; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Yates is survived by his wife of nearly 30 | 15 | | years, Jennifer M. Yates; his son, Jeremy Yates; his brother, | 16 | | James (Sandra) Yates; his stepsons, Ron Dublo and Jeff Dublo; | 17 | | his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and | 18 | | nephews; and his beagles, Isabelle, Hushpuppy, Dakota, and | 19 | | Blue; therefore, be it

| 5 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 6 | | presented to the family of Ronnie Yates as an expression of our | 7 | | deepest sympathy.
