| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Barbara Mae Black of Danville, who passed | 4 | | away on May 25, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Black was born in Arlington Heights to | 6 | | Joseph and Elizabeth (Braun) Ziesk on July 23, 1928; she | 7 | | married Richard "Tiger" Black in 1957; they moved to Danville, | 8 | | where her husband founded Colonial Manor Nursing Home; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Black was well known for her hats and | 10 | | costume jewelry; she enjoyed rummaging through thrift shops, | 11 | | where she was often found looking for the perfect piece to | 12 | | finish an outfit; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Black was preceded in death by her | 14 | | husband, Richard; her parents; her brother, Julius; and her | 15 | | sisters, Delores and Eileen; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Black is survived by her children, Linda | 17 | | Morrison, Leslie (Shelly) Black, Mark Black, and Todd (Sara) | 18 | | Black; her grandchildren, Sara (Chris) Kronteras, Rachel | 19 | | (Simon) Brazinski, Jane Black, Peter Black, and David Black; | 20 | | her great-grandchildren, Jessica, Sophia, Chance, and Elli; | 21 | | her great-great-grandchild, Samantha; and her sister, Betty |
