| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of John Hubert Horton of East Moline, who | 4 | | passed away on August 2, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Horton was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri | 6 | | to Fred and Lula (Tyrrell) Horton on August 16, 1933; he served | 7 | | in the U.S. Army and married Lorene Sartor in Mountain Grove on | 8 | | October 23, 1952; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, John Horton retired from John Deere Planter; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, John Horton enjoyed feeding birds, gardening, and | 11 | | collecting John Deere items; he also loved tinkering and cars; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, John Horton was preceded in death by his wife, | 14 | | Lorene; his son, Jack Horton; his great-granddaughter, Tessa | 15 | | Horton; and several siblings; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, John Horton is survived by his children, Judy | 17 | | (Robin) Egert, John Horton, Kathy (Gary) Newkirk, Carol Emmert, | 18 | | and Barb Horton; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; | 19 | | three great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Leland Horton; | 20 | | and his sister, Joe Ann Brandt; therefore, be it
