| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Frank J. Stefanich of Naples, Florida, | 4 | | formerly of Moline, who passed away on July 23, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Frank Stefanich was born in Aurora to Frank and | 6 | | Magie (Barbic) Stefanich on December 5, 1917; he was a veteran | 7 | | of World War II and earned three Bronze Star medals in the | 8 | | three different Pacific Theaters; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Frank Stefanich worked as an industrial | 10 | | manufacturing welder in Moline for 37 years; he then worked as | 11 | | a maintenance engineer at Sacred Heart Elementary School for | 12 | | many years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, After the death of his wife, Frank Stefanich moved | 14 | | to Naples, Florida to be near his niece, Joanne, and | 15 | | great-niece, Debbie, who shared a love of McDonald's hamburgers | 16 | | with him every Wednesday; he was an avid walker and walked four | 17 | | to nine miles each day; later in life, he enjoyed watching the | 18 | | Stanley Cup playoffs and other sports and spending time with | 19 | | his great-nephew, Mark; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Frank Stefanich was preceded in death by his wife | 21 | | of 69 years, Carmie; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Frank Stefanich is survived by his half-sister, | 2 | | Annie Retel; his sister-in-law, Josie (Cirrincione) Davito; | 3 | | many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, | 4 | | great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Frank J. Stefanich and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Frank Stefanich as an expression of | 12 | | our deepest sympathy.
