| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Patsy Collison, who passed away on | 4 | | November 5, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was born in Beardstown to Lewis and | 6 | | Marie Shouse Jones on April 3, 1931; she attended Beardstown | 7 | | High School; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was a stay-at-home mother and | 9 | | worked at various restaurants until her children grew older; | 10 | | she later attended beautician school and was a hairdresser in | 11 | | Beardstown for many years before working for the State of | 12 | | Illinois; she retired in 2001 with over 20 years of service; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was a member of Christ Lutheran | 15 | | Church in Quincy; she enjoyed her daily visits to the Star Cafe | 16 | | and was a great cook, especially known for her homemade pies; | 17 | | her family was her pride and joy, and her happiest moments were | 18 | | when she would cook for her family and friends; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was preceded in death by her | 20 | | brothers, Gene, Alfred, Edward, and Hank; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Patsy Collison is survived by her children, Vickie | 2 | | (Dale) Ring, Guilford "Tad" Collison, and Robert (Kathy) | 3 | | Collison; her grandchildren, Anne (Rafe) Breedlove, Collin | 4 | | (Courtenay) Ring, Brian (Kirsten) Collison, Marcus (Jenny) | 5 | | Collison, Levi (Jenny) Collison, and Carly Collison (Scott | 6 | | Vreeland); 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; | 7 | | three great-great-step-grandchildren; numerous nieces and | 8 | | nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Lois and Mary Jones; | 9 | | therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Patsy Collison and extend our sincere condolences to her | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 14 | | further
