| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death James A. "Jimmy" Cullerton who passed away | 4 | | on August 7, 2019 in Michigan; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jimmy Cullerton was born in Chicago to Lucile | 6 | | (Chambers) and James J. Cullerton on June 14, 1939; he was the | 7 | | oldest of 25 grandchildren descended from Alice B. (Morahan) | 8 | | and James J. Cullerton; he was a graduate of St. Mel's High | 9 | | School in Chicago; he married Vera McCrory in Oak Park on May | 10 | | 8, 1965; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jimmy Cullerton served in the Illinois National | 12 | | Guard and was a member in good standing for 60 years of IBEW | 13 | | Local 134; he worked as an electrician for Cook County for 32 | 14 | | years before retiring to Michigan; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Jimmy Cullerton was actively | 16 | | engaged in public service; he was a loyal friend to many; his | 17 | | tremendous sense of humor warmed the hearts of his family and | 18 | | friends; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jimmy Cullerton was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents and his brother, Terrence M. Cullerton; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jimmy Cullerton is survived by his loving wife of | 2 | | 54 years, Vera; children, Colleen (Russell) Roman, Jimmy | 3 | | Cullerton, Andy (Jeanette) Cullerton, Amy (Dennis) Wantroba, | 4 | | and Thomas "T.J." Cullerton; grandchildren, Shannon, Jake, | 5 | | Brody, Ethan, and Madison; sisters, Helen (Mike) O'Connell and | 6 | | Patricia "Patsy" (Tom) O'Halleran; sister-in-law, Florence | 7 | | Cullerton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | James A. "Jimmy" Cullerton and extend our sincere condolences | 12 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 13 | | it further
