| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Gail E. Wolfe of Lovington, who passed | 4 | | away on December 17, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe was born in Wayne City to Clarence and | 6 | | Estes Bailey Wolfe on February 22, 1943; he married Carolyn | 7 | | Finley in Wayne City on May 27, 1961; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe worked at Firestone in Decatur for 30 | 9 | | years; he was a proud union member; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe served as a Moultrie County Republican | 11 | | Precinct Committeeman and as chairman for the Moultrie County | 12 | | Republican Central Committee for several years; he was also on | 13 | | the Moultrie County Board and had been a trustee for the | 14 | | Lovington Community Ambulance Service; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe was past president of the Illinois | 16 | | Draft Pony Association and the Lincolnland Carriage Club; he | 17 | | loved ponies and enjoyed raising, training, and showing them; | 18 | | he used them for parades, wagon rides, and anywhere others | 19 | | could enjoy seeing them; he especially enjoyed having his | 20 | | carousel in parades; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe was preceded in death by his parents; | 2 | | his brothers, Dale, Delmar, and John; and his sister, Yvonne | 3 | | Lathrop; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his | 5 | | daughters, Teresa O'Kelley and Deborah Wolfe; his son, Robert | 6 | | (Lori) Wolfe; his sister, Verna Woodward; and his | 7 | | granddaughter, Sydney Wolfe; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Gail E. Wolfe and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 11 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Gail Wolfe as an expression of our | 14 | | deepest sympathy.
