| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Gordon M. McCluskey of Lockport, who | 4 | | passed away on March 22, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey was born on July 13, 1935; he | 6 | | graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1953; he earned | 7 | | a degree in Civil Engineering from the Illinois Institute of | 8 | | Technology; he served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey dedicated his life to public | 10 | | service; he retired as a Lockport City Administrator in 1996 | 11 | | after 28 years of service and then served as a Lockport Fire | 12 | | Department trustee and a trustee for Canal & Trails Credit | 13 | | Union; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey was a past member of the Lockport | 15 | | Moose Lodge 1557; he enjoyed golfing; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents, Marion and Evelyn (Cochran) McCluskey; his brother, | 18 | | Roger (Judy) McCluskey; his brother, Gary McCluskey; his | 19 | | sister, Virginia Cashman; and his brother, Richard Whiting; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey is survived by his wife, Ruth |

| 1 | | McCluskey; his sons, Jeff McCluskey and Mark (Christine) | 2 | | McCluskey; his sisters, Linda (Jay) Malvin and Shirley (Keith) | 3 | | Casler; his sister-in-law, Carol (the late Gary) McCluskey; his | 4 | | grandchildren, Nick (Melissa) Seeman, Mitch McCluskey, and Max | 5 | | McCluskey; his great-grandchildren, Aniston and Gavin Seeman; | 6 | | and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Gordon M. McCluskey and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
