| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Edmond Richard Hamilton; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Edmond Hamilton was born in Mt. Jackson, Virginia | 5 | | to Braxton and Helen Hamilton on May 3, 1935; he served in the | 6 | | U.S. Marines and married Neva Barnes on September 5, 1965; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Edmond Hamilton settled in the Midwest in the | 8 | | early 1960s and became a union plumber; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Edmond Hamilton was a member of Plumbers & | 10 | | Pipefitters Local 25 in Rock Island for over 50 years; he was | 11 | | very proud of his children, and they spent a great deal of time | 12 | | over the years on Campbell's Island, skiing, boating, and | 13 | | fishing; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Edmond Hamilton was preceded in death by his | 15 | | parents; his brothers, Jack and Tom Hamilton; and his sister, | 16 | | JoAnn Hamilton; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Edmond Hamilton is survived by his wife of nearly | 18 | | 55 years, Neva; his children, Valli Griffin, Verda Lyons, | 19 | | Carlene VanDyke, Cherie Rogers (Bill), and Braxton (Carla) | 20 | | Hamilton; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Edmond Richard Hamilton and extend our sincere condolences to | 5 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 6 | | further
