| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Geral Renick of Waukegan, | 4 | | who passed away on April 30, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Renick was born to Joseph and Esther (Larsen) | 6 | | Renick in Waukegan on April 1, 1930; he attended Waukegan High | 7 | | School where he met Lorraine Hoffman; the two married at Holy | 8 | | Family Church in North Chicago in 1950; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bob Renick worked in his father's garage, Renick's | 10 | | Auto Service, for most of his life until he retired; even after | 11 | | retirement, he couldn't stay away from cars, so he found a job | 12 | | working at a parts counter at a local car dealership; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bob Renick was a member of the City Club of | 14 | | Waukegan and the Waukegan Yacht Club; he was the Commodore of | 15 | | the Yacht Club in 1970; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Bob Renick lived for being surrounded by loved | 17 | | ones; he and his wife greatly enjoyed hosting gatherings at | 18 | | their home; he loved working on anything with an engine, | 19 | | including small engines, boats, and especially cars; his | 20 | | favorite hobby was to cruise Craigslist, Ebay, and Amazon for | 21 | | unique car parts; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bob Renick was preceded in death by his wife of 69 | 2 | | years, Lorraine Renick, and his parents; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Bob Renick is survived by his daughter, Marcia | 4 | | (Gary) Botsford; his grandchildren, Meghan (Charlie) Dawson, | 5 | | Kathryn (Al) Enrique, Jodi (Scott) Megerle, Shawn (Cheryl) | 6 | | Botsford, and Robert Botsford; his eight great-grandchildren; | 7 | | his sister, Marge (Wayne) Konetzki; his sister-in-law, Maryln | 8 | | Zelenz; and his cherished nephew, Tom Zelenz; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 11 | | Robert "Bob" Geral Renick and extend our sincere
condolences to | 12 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | 13 | | further
