| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Richard J. "Rich" Ivnik of Springfield, | 4 | | who passed away on March 9, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rich Ivnik was born in Joliet to Michael Ivnik and | 6 | | Julia Konopek on January 16, 1927; he served in the U.S. Army | 7 | | during World War II and married Lucille "CeleAnn" McCarthy at | 8 | | the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet on June 21, 1947; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Rich Ivnik worked as a systems analyst programmer | 10 | | for Caterpillar; he retired in 1983 after 33 years of service; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Rich Ivnik was a member of the Loyal Order of | 13 | | Moose, Knights of Columbus Council 364 (4th Degree), and Christ | 14 | | the King Parish; he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and | 15 | | Joliet Catholic Academy sports and enjoyed fishing at several | 16 | | Wisconsin lakes; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Rich Ivnik was preceded in death by his son, | 18 | | Robert Ivnik; his parents; and his brothers, Robert, Edward, | 19 | | and Raymond Ivnik; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Rich Ivnik is survived by his wife of over 72 |

| 1 | | years, CeleAnn; his daughters, Barbara J. (Richard) Lyons and | 2 | | Mary Jo (Jodi) Hendricksen; his daughter-in-law, Marie Ivnik; | 3 | | seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; therefore, be | 4 | | it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Richard J. "Rich" Ivnik and extend our sincere condolences to | 8 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Rich Ivnik as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
