| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Marvin Wood of Bloomington, who passed | 4 | | away on September 12, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Wood was born in Granite City to Delbert | 6 | | and Janet Boerkle Wood; after graduating high school, he served | 7 | | in the U.S. Army Reserve; he married Gracie Brase in | 8 | | Edwardsville on November 11, 1972; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Wood worked in the trucking industry for | 10 | | most of his life, including for Growmark FS, Landes Trucking, | 11 | | and Quincy Mack; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Wood loved his two pugs, Murphy and Riley; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Wood was preceded in death by his parents | 15 | | and his sisters, Tina and Gina; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Wood is survived by his wife, Gracie; his | 17 | | son, Joseph (Savannah) Wood; his brother, Dale Wood; and his | 18 | | sister, Cheryl Wagonblast; therefore, be it
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 20 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
