AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 641

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 641 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
5adding Section 120 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 305/120 new)
7    Sec. 120. Availability of menstrual hygiene products.
8    (a) In this Section, "menstrual hygiene products" means
9tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection with the
10menstrual cycle.
11    (b) The Board of Trustees shall make menstrual hygiene
12products available, at no cost to students, in the bathrooms
13of facilities or portions of facilities that (i) are owned or
14leased by the Board or over which the Board has care, custody,
15and control and (ii) are used for student instruction or
16administrative purposes.

1    Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
2Act is amended by adding Section 100 as follows:
 
3    (110 ILCS 520/100 new)
4    Sec. 100. Availability of menstrual hygiene products.
5    (a) In this Section, "menstrual hygiene products" means
6tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection with the
7menstrual cycle.
8    (b) The Board shall make menstrual hygiene products
9available, at no cost to students, in the bathrooms of
10facilities or portions of facilities that (i) are owned or
11leased by the Board or over which the Board has care, custody,
12and control and (ii) are used for student instruction or
13administrative purposes.
 
14    Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended by
15adding Section 5-210 as follows:
 
16    (110 ILCS 660/5-210 new)
17    Sec. 5-210. Availability of menstrual hygiene products.
18    (a) In this Section, "menstrual hygiene products" means
19tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection with the
20menstrual cycle.
21    (b) The Board shall make menstrual hygiene products

11menstrual cycle.

19by adding Section 15-210 as follows:

15    Section 50. The Public Community College Act is amended by
16adding Section 3-29.14 as follows:
 
17    (110 ILCS 805/3-29.14 new)
18    Sec. 3-29.14. Availability of menstrual hygiene products.
19    (a) In this Section, "menstrual hygiene products" means
20tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection with the
21menstrual cycle.
