1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Health Care Worker Background Check Act is
5amended by changing Section 26 as follows:
 
6    (225 ILCS 46/26)
7    Sec. 26. Health Care Worker Registry. The Department shall
8establish and maintain the Health Care Worker Registry, a
9registry of all individuals who (i) have satisfactorily
10completed the training required by Section 3-206 of the
11Nursing Home Care Act, Section 3-206 of the MC/DD Act, or
12Section 3-206 of the ID/DD Community Care Act, (ii) have begun
13a current course of training as set forth in Section 3-206 of
14the Nursing Home Care Act, Section 3-206 of the MC/DD Act, or
15Section 3-206 of the ID/DD Community Care Act, or (iii) are
16otherwise acting as a nursing assistant, habilitation aide,
17home health aide, or child care aide. The Health Care Worker
18Registry shall include the individual's name, current address,
19and Social Security number or federal taxpayer identification
20number, the date and location of the training course completed
21by the individual, whether the individual has any of the
22disqualifying convictions listed in Section 25 of the Health
23Care Worker Background Check Act from the date of the training

1course completed by the individual, and the date of the
2individual's last criminal records check. Any individual
3placed on the Health Care Worker Registry is required to
4inform the Department of any change of address within 30 days
5after the effective date of the change of address.
6    The Department shall include in the Health Care Worker
7Registry established under this Section the information
8contained in the registries established under Section 3-206.01
9of the Nursing Home Care Act, Section 3-206.01 of the MC/DD
10Act, and Section 3-206.01 of the ID/DD Community Care Act.
